The Altja trail brings together natural attractions and the history of a fishing village. The loop trail passes through a preserved wooded-meadow landscape, forest edges, and down to Altja harbour, where the paired net sheds and threshing barns are part of Lahemaa's cultural heritage.
The trail runs along forest roads and sandy coastal paths. The section beside the Altja lagoon is wet in spring and autumn.
