Mändjala beach is on the Baltic Sea coast on Saaremaa, in the Kuressaare area — 12 km west of the town. Water quality has been excellent in 10 of 11 years. The Roomassaare weather station is 11.0 km away. Bathing-water monitoring is carried out under the EU Bathing Water Directive (Health Board).
