Beach
Purgatsi Järv is a lakeside swimming beach in Lääne-Virumaa. It lies 18 km west of Tapa. Bathing water quality has been at the highest level in every year measured (2012–2022). The nearest weather station is Kehra (19.7 km away). The EU Bathing Water Directive requires the Health Board to carry out periodic monitoring of the swimming site.
