The Nõo Veskijärv beach lies on a lakeshore in Tartu County, 9 km northeast of Elva and 16 km southwest of Tartu. The site was brought under monitoring recently; the first 3 years produced excellent results. The nearest weather post is Tartu-Tõravere, 3.8 km away. Regular monitoring by the Health Board is carried out under the EU Bathing Water Directive.
